Open/Close Gate Lane form

The Open/Close Gate Lane form enables you to mark a gate lane as open, closed, locked, or reserved. You can use this option to close or lock a gate lane that may be temporarily unavailable for processing truck visits, or to reserve it for other purposes.

The Lane Status column in the Lane Monitor view (on page 1) and on the Lanes tab (on page 1) in the Gate form (on page 1) reflects a lane's current status.

To open or close the selected gate lane(s):

1. From the Lane Status list, select one of the following values:

• Open

• Closed

• Locked

• Reserved

2. Click Save.

Notes

• You can close a gate lane which is open in the Yard. However, you cannot open a gate lane if it is closed in the yard.

• If you selected more than one gate lane, N4 displays a check box to the left of the Lane Status list. You must select this check box for the list to become available for editing.
